Sixth through eighth grade talmidim of Yeshivas Toras Simcha visited United Hebrew Cemetery in Halethorpe, where they connected with the legacy of Rav Shmuel Yaakov Weinberg, zt”l, and Rav Yaakov Yitzchok Ruderman, zt”l.

Their rebbeim shared personal memories and powerful lessons, including Rav Ruderman’s remarkable sensitivity in returning home on Rosh Hashanah to make sure his Rebbetzin had her own machzor.

Rabbi Hillel Shepard reminded the talmidim that even the greatest tzaddikim would value one more opportunity to perform a mitzvah—a meaningful reminder to appreciate the mitzvos available to us every day.
