⚡ Community Power: How Baltimore Scoop Helped Prevent an Erev Pesach Outage
Earlier today, a Baltimore Scoop follower alerted us to a concerning notice from BGE: a planned power shutoff scheduled for Erev Pesach.
Erev Pesach… heading into a 3-day Yom Tov… with no power?
That’s something no one in the community could anticipate or afford.
We shared the update, and quickly, many others confirmed they received the same notice. Messages started pouring in as the concern spread across the community.
That’s when something incredible happened.
Senator Dalya Attar, who follows Baltimore Scoop, stepped in immediately. After making calls and pushing the issue, BGE agreed to reconsider the timing and ultimately pushed off the planned outage.
Thanks to that quick action, what could have been a major disruption was avoided.
This is what makes the Baltimore Scoop community so powerful. People looking out for each other, speaking up, and taking action when it matters most.
Now, with the situation resolved, we can all turn our focus to what truly matters as we prepare for Yom Tov.
