How often do you meet someone and just feel comfortable in their presence, respected by them? Maybe they took interest in you or they just went out of their way to be caring and help you. So calm and gentle yet encouraging others around them to grow and challenge themselves. A person of values and morals, and so humble.

If you have met him, or have heard me speaking about him, you probably guessed who I’m describing.

Today is his 5th Yahrtzeit.

In his last days on this physical earth, Efraim OB”M was surrounded by, engaged, and immersed in many types of Mitzvos and Torah study.

From bringing joy to a new Chatan and Kallah, to paying a shiva call for someone he never met.

His last text message –  just mere minutes before thugs killed him in an attempted carjacking in the heart of baltimore – was about Tefilin.

Today Efraim ben Baruch HY”D can no longer do a mitzvah, but you can do one to uplift his soul. (We would be so happy if you shared with us that you did a Mitzvah in Efraim’s merit!)
