A bill that would have allowed the self-driving ride-hailing company Waymo to operate in Maryland has failed to pass the Maryland State Legislature.

A Waymo spokesperson said the company remains committed to it’s plans in the state.  

Waymo vehicles have been seen driving around Baltimore in recent months familiarizing themselves with the area.
