Maryland Senate candidate Ayo Kimathi, who is running against Senator Dalya Attar, is seen in this video testifying against a bill aimed at strengthening Holocaust education in Maryland schools and making a series of disturbing remarks.

During his testimony, Kimathi argued that the Holocaust should not be taught in the way the legislation proposes. He claimed that the term “Holocaust” was taken from the history of Black slavery and suggested that the Jewish community has unfairly benefited from it.

The legislation he was testifying against focuses on ensuring students learn about the Holocaust and the dangers of antisemitism, genocide, and hate.
