The Vaad Harabbonim of Baltimore is urging all eligible voters to ensure they are properly registered ahead of Maryland’s June 2 deadline for the upcoming primary election.

Because Maryland has a closed primary system, a voter’s registered party determines which primary election they may participate in. Community members who wish to vote in key primary races are encouraged to review and, if necessary, update their party registration before the deadline.

The Vaad emphasized that changing party registration for voting purposes does not reflect a person’s personal beliefs or hashkafos. Rather, it is a practical step that allows voters to have a voice in the primary contests that can significantly impact the community.

Community members can visit ChangePartyMD.com to review or update their registration.

The deadline is Tuesday, June 2.

Don’t let your vote go to waste. Every vote counts.
