
Luxon has served as interim president since November and brings more than two decades of experience within the University of Maryland Medical System. She previously served as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Clinical Integration at St. Joseph.
Her appointment comes as the Towson-based hospital moves forward with a major $110 million outpatient center expansion project, expected to be completed by 2028. The 112,000-square-foot facility is designed to help meet growing demand for outpatient services in the region.
According to UMMS, Luxon will focus on patient safety, expanding access to specialty care, and strengthening integration across the health system.
St. Joseph Medical Center is a 221-bed hospital serving Baltimore County and the surrounding region.
