A 22-year-old Towson University student was shot and killed Friday afternoon in a brazen shooting near Towson Circle, just off the university’s campus.

Baltimore County Police identified the victim as Nasir Majied, 22. Investigators say Majied was driving north on York Road around 3:20 p.m. when gunfire erupted from another vehicle. He was struck multiple times and later died from his injuries.

The suspect remains at large.

Towson University officials called the incident a “devastating loss” and acknowledged concerns about safety following the shooting.
