A stop sign at the corner of Gist Road and Fallstaff Road remains down more than a week after it was first reported, creating a potentially dangerous situation for drivers.

According to community reports, motorists unfamiliar with the area are continuing to drive straight through the intersection, unaware that it is supposed to be a stop-controlled crossing.

Residents say this has turned the corner into “an accident waiting to happen,” especially with regular traffic flowing through the area.

It remains unclear when the city plans to replace the sign. Until then, drivers are urged to use extra caution when approaching the intersection.
