Yesterday, Baltimore Scoop reported that three juveniles were arrested following an assault involving another student in Pikesville.
Today, Pikesville Middle School sent a letter to staff and families addressing the incident, saying the assault happened at a home in the community and was “captured on video and shared on social media and with other Pikesville Middle School students.”
The school says it immediately notified Baltimore County Public Schools’ Department of School Safety and the Baltimore County Police Department after becoming aware of the incident.
In the letter, school officials called the behavior “completely unacceptable” and stated that students involved will face “serious school consequences” in addition to any legal consequences.
The school also urged parents to speak with their children about not sharing disturbing content and to reach out to counselors if needed.
