After 25 years serving the Pikesville community, the Pikesville Farmers Market is asking residents to show their support following its move from Pomona Square to the Pikesville Armory.

Market organizers say they were forced to find a new home after Southern Management did not support continuing the market at Pomona Square. Rather than leave Pikesville, organizers relocated just a few blocks away to the Armory.

The transition has come with challenges, particularly as customers adjust to the new location. Organizers say they have responded to concerns by moving farmers and vendors closer to the parking area, improving entrance signage, and designating parking for seniors and those with disabilities.

The new location also offers features the previous site did not, including trees, grass, shade, live music and a growing community atmosphere. The market currently includes two kosher vendors.
