At the forum, a speaker posed what many viewed as a clearly anti-Israel question, focusing on Baltimore County police ties to Israeli defense contractors and accusing Israel’s actions in Gaza in extreme terms.

Julian Jones began by criticizing former Governor Larry Hogan’s executive order that bars the state from contracting with companies that boycott Israel. Jones called this policy “anti-American” and “ridiculous,” arguing that businesses should not be barred from state participation for speaking out or choosing to boycott.

Julian Jones also made clear that he opposes any connection between Baltimore County and Israeli training, stating there is no need to rely on Israel’s expertise.
