
Batimore Scoop has learned that a 21-year-old Jewish man was allegedly assaulted and subjected to antisemitic slurs this morning at a Family Dollar store after entering the restroom, believing it was open to the public.
According to the community member, store employees confronted him and began yelling that the restroom was for employees only. The situation quickly escalated, and he says one employee kicked him, threatened to knock off his yarmulka, and shouted antisemitic remarks.
The victim called police and filed a police report. Officers responded quickly to the scene, and the community member expressed appreciation for the prompt response.
