There’s a cashier at the Royal Farms on Smith & Pimlico who regularly tries to engage customers, including our teenagers who frequent the place, in conversations about the Israel-Gaza conflict while they’re checking out.
whatever your views are, this is, IMO, completely inappropriate and has the potential to create a confrontation. when kids are there to purchase sunflower seeds and gatorade, they shouldn’t be confronted with a political discussion, especially by someone who holds views contrary to what most of our community feels.
if you or your kids shop there, it may be worth reminding management that we don’t want to engage in political conversations with anyone while making a purchase.
