Fine the City for Broken Sidewalks!

Hi, I wanted to bring up the condition of the sidewalks throughout Park Heights. They’re in terrible shape and have become a real safety hazard.

Parents with strollers are often forced to walk in the street because the sidewalks are so cracked, uneven, or blocked by poles and signs. This past Shabbos, I watched a toddler get thrown from a stroller after it hit a large crack in the sidewalk. Thankfully, the child appeared to be okay, but it could have ended much worse.

The city  requires homeowners to meet strict safety codes on their own property, yet many public sidewalks are in conditions that would never be considered acceptable on private property.

This is a serious public safety issue. They need to fined!
