After 5 people were killed on Maryland roads this past week, Chrissy Nizer, the state’s Motor Vehicle Administrator, is calling for drivers to slow down. “We do know that in terms of the crashes we’ve seen is that speed is really a significant component that leads to serious injury as well as fatality,” Nizer emphasized.
35 people were killed on Maryland roads in July, and 225 so far this year.
