The Democrat controlled Maryland House of Delegates voted today in a rare summer special session for a redistricting referendum to be included on the ballot this fall.  The measure now heads to the state Senate, where a three-fifths vote would be required for the referendum to take place.  If the referendum is passed by the Senate and voters this fall, it could pave the way for Democrats to redraw congressional maps ahead of the 2028 elections.
