Maryland announced last week it has agreed to a 20-year, $470 million agreement to purchase solar power from REV Renewables.  The deal will provide the state with 250,000 megawatt-hours of energy from the Jade Meadow III Solar Project, located at the site of a former coal mine in western Maryland.  

According to Gov. Moore, the deal could end up saving Maryland $300 million over the next 20 years.
