Our thoughts and prayers are with Maryland’s law enforcement community following a difficult weekend that has left multiple officers seriously injured.

• A Baltimore County Police officer was shot in the line of duty this morning in Pikesville and remains hospitalized.

• An MDTA motor officer was seriously injured in a crash and transported to Shock Trauma.

• A Calvert County officer was also injured in an accident and airlifted to Shock Trauma.

These incidents are a sobering reminder of the risks our first responders face every day while protecting our communities.
