After decades as a trusted and widely used community initiative, the Baltimore Agudah Scrip program has officially come to an end. The program enabled community members to purchase scrip — color-coded notes used in place of cash or checks for tzedakah. A portion of each purchase was retained as a donation, directly supporting local mosdos, while collectors could later redeem the scrip through the Agudah office for full cash value.

With the program now discontinued, several key changes take effect:

• Donors: Physical Agudah scrip is no longer available for purchase.
• Collectors: Existing scrip can still be redeemed through the Agudah office until October 1, 2026.
• Schools & Mosdos: Institutions that relied on this steady fundraising stream are expected to introduce alternative initiatives.
