Today, a large educational demonstration of Shechita took place at Mercaz Torah U’Tefillah.

In attendance were the Zidichever Rebbe and Rabbi Heinemann. Rabbi Holland explained the detailed process of kosher Shechita and what is required for an animal to be considered kosher according to Halacha.

Participants were able to witness the process firsthand and hear explanations about the many halachic standards and inspections involved.

Interestingly, after the Shechita, it was determined that the animal was actually not kosher, which itself became an important educational moment, demonstrating how careful and thorough the kosher inspection process truly is.
