A disturbing pattern of rhetoric targeting Jewish elected officials in Baltimore is raising serious concerns within the Jewish community.

Derrick Compton Sr., a prominent supporter of Sabrina Tapp-Harper’s campaign for Baltimore City Sheriff and a vocal supporter of Louis Farrakhan, has spent months attacking Sheriff Sam Cogen and Senator Dalya Attar.

Now, following the election, Compton has turned his attention toward Councilman Yitzy Schleifer.

Three Jewish elected officials. One after another.

Political disagreements are fair game. Criticism of elected officials is fair game. But when Jewish public officials are repeatedly singled out and attacked, the pattern cannot simply be ignored.

At what point is enough enough?

Does Baltimore’s Jewish community have to be left with zero representation before people are willing to call this out?
