Maryland health officials have confirmed 69 cases of cyclosporiasis, up from 32 cases reported just a week ago as a nationwide outbreak continues to grow.

Cyclosporiasis is caused by the Cyclospora parasite and can lead to symptoms including watery diarrhea, stomach cramps, nausea, fatigue, and loss of appetite. Health officials are still working to identify the source of the outbreak.
