Mercaz Torah U’Tefillah, in partnership with STAR-K, will be hosting a special community-wide live shechita demonstration on Monday, May 25, 2026, at 10:30 AM behind the new house at Mercaz Torah U’Tefillah, located at 6329 Green Meadow Parkway.

The event will feature Rabbi Zvi Holland, STAR-K Kashrus Administrator and Director of Special Projects, host of the video series “The Meat We Eat” focused on the halachos of shechita.

Attendees will experience the Chullin Daf Yomi sugyos in action through a live sheep and chicken shechita demonstration, along with an interactive practical presentation covering the relevant halachos.

Event partners include Shomrei Emunah Bais Medrash and Kehillas Derech Chaim.
