A 10-year-old child was rescued from the Baltimore Inner Harbor Sunday evening after falling into the water while riding a bike near the 500 block of Light Street, according to police.

Authorities say the child was unaccompanied at the time of the incident, which happened shortly after 6:30PM.

In a dramatic rescue, a bystander quickly tossed a life ring into the harbor and pulled the child to safety before emergency crews arrived.

Medics transported the child to a nearby hospital. The child’s condition has not yet been released.
