The Ohr Hamizrach Sephardic Center was vandalized last night in a deeply disturbing incident that left Sefarim thrown across the floor and significant disorder inside the shul.

According to those at the scene, the individual appeared to be throwing a tantrum while causing damage and desecrating the shul. Minutes later, additional footage was captured outside the building.

Shomrim was notified immediately and police responded to the scene. The suspect fled in his vehicle, however the license plate information was reportedly obtained.

Community members say they plan to release surveillance footage so the public can remain aware of the individual’s continued behavior.
