A newly released report from The Office of Legislative Audits found that the state agency responsible for overseeing Medicaid payments lacked “effective processes” to identify millions of questionable payments made to inmates and dead people.  

The audit also found the Medical Care Programs Administration failed to process care plan changes in a timely manner, potentially delaying care for many vulnerable patients.
