Baltimore Shomrim is asking the public to be on the lookout for a brown 2017 Hyundai Tucson stolen Sunday morning from the 3400 block of Pinkney Road.

The vehicle, bearing New Jersey tag J75CTA, was reported stolen on August 23, 2026, sometime between 7:30 and 9:30 a.m.

Certain Hyundai vehicles from roughly 2011–2021 became widely known for a theft vulnerability involving models with traditional key ignitions that lacked an engine immobilizer. However, a 2017 model year alone does not establish that this particular Tucson had that vulnerability, and it is not currently clear how this vehicle was stolen.

Anyone who sees the vehicle should not approach it and should contact 911 and Baltimore Shomrim at 410-358-9999.
