BCoPD has placed an order with aircraft supplier Davenport Aviation for a new Airbus H125, which is expected to arrive in October 2027.  The new H125 will replace a 20-year old AS350 B3, an older version of the same helicopter.  

With the new order, two of the departments three helicopters will be modernized to the H125 platform, which features updated technology, and is also used by Baltimore City Police, along with Police Departments nationwide.
