The Board of Estimates has approved a new agreement that provides a 17% pay increase for deputies over the next three years, representing a significant investment in the individuals who serve the courts, support public safety, and show up for Baltimore every day.

Sheriff Sam Cogen expressed appreciation for the support, saying he “cannot thank Mayor Brandon Scott enough” for recognizing the importance of backing the hardworking professionals in the office.
