An upcoming Baltimore appearance by Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil has been moved to the Parkway Theatre in Station North after organizers said the event drew overwhelming interest.

Khalil will present his new memoir, No Land to Stand On: Notes from Detention, in conversation with journalist Prem Thakker on Thursday, Sept. 24, at 7 p.m.

The event is organized by Red Emma’s and co-sponsored by Johns Hopkins University’s Chloe Center for the Critical Study of Racism, Immigration, and Colonialism.

The event was originally planned for Red Emma’s but reached capacity shortly after being announced, prompting the move to the larger venue at 5 W. North Avenue.
