Agudas Yisrael of Baltimore’s Vaad Hatzedakah has issued a public notice regarding Yonason Cohen, who has been collecting funds while stating that the money is for a mikvah.

According to the notice, Cohen’s authorization under Teudah No. 14602 expired on June 28, 2026.

The Vaad Hatzedakah states that it does not know whether the organization in Israel authorized him to collect on its behalf, whether the mikvah exists, or whether there are plans for one.

The notice advises the Baltimore community to be aware of this when approached for donations.
