A 7-year-old girl was killed Tuesday afternoon after an apparent accidental shooting inside a home in the 7800 block of Selgrave Road in Milford Mill.

Baltimore County Police said officers found the child suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Police believe adults were inside the home when the shooting occurred. Homicide detectives are investigating how the child was shot and whether any charges will be filed.
