Large portions of the community remain without power this morning after outages that began overnight.

According to reports received by Baltimore Scoop, the outage stretches from Glen Avenue to Fords Lane and from Park Heights Avenue to approximately Wirt Avenue. Many homes and businesses have now been without electricity since last night.

Several followers have asked whether this could be the start of the rolling blackouts that have been feared during this week’s extreme heat. At this time, there has been no official confirmation that this outage is part of any rolling blackout program. We will continue monitoring for updates from BGE and emergency officials.
